Prospects
If you aspire to be a student-athlete at LSU or any other NCAA institution - or you are the parent of a child who hopes to do so - there are several things that you should know regarding NCAA eligibility requirements and the recruiting process. A great deal of this important information is explained in the Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.
Every college-bound student-athlete who is attending an NCAA Division I institution full-time for the first time must be certified academically and as an amateur by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Prospective student-athletes should register at the beginning of their junior year in high school and can do so by clicking here. For a list of items that prospects should have prepared prior to registering with the Eligibility center, click here.
The NCAA Eligibility Center no longer requires test scores. LSU is test optional, applicants have the choice to select if they wish to have their ACT or SAT scores considered when Admissions is reviewing their application for admission and university-administered scholarships.
